भूरिश्रवसि शल्ये च शाल्वे चैव जनार्दन । आव्न्त्येषु च वीरेषु नैवाशाम्यत वैशसम्
bhūriśravasi śalye ca śālve caiva janārdana | āvantyeṣu ca vīreṣu naivāśāmyata vaiśasam ||
サンジャヤは言った。「おお、ジャナールダナよ、殺戮は鎮まらなかった。ブーリシュラヴァスの陣においても、シャリヤの陣においても、シャールヴァの陣においても、またアヴァンティの勇士たちの間においても同じであった。まるで、いかなる苦しみの量をもってしても戦の憤怒を鎮め得ぬかのように、屠り合いは絶え間なく続いた。」
