Educational Q&A

The verse underscores how quickly a duel between two warriors can intensify into a ‘great’ and consuming conflict, reminding the listener that war magnifies human effort and aggression and must be understood within the heavy moral weight of kṣatriya action and consequence.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the fight between two opposing warriors has become extremely fierce on the battlefield, signaling a heightened phase of the ongoing Kurukṣetra war.
