सतुतं श्रुतकर्माणमास्ये जघ्ने वरासिना | स हतो न्यपतद्‌ भूमौ विमूढो विकृतानन:

Transliteration

stutaṃ śrutakarmāṇam āsye jaghne varāsinā | sa hato nyapatad bhūmau vimūḍho vikṛtānanaḥ ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。アシュヴァッターマンは、称えられていたシュルタカルマーの顔を、優れた剣で斬りつけた。その一撃に傷つき、彼は意識を失って地に倒れ、顔貌は歪み崩れていた。
