प्राद्रवन्त यथाशक्ति कांदिशीका विचेतस: । द्वारपाल दरवाजोंको और तम्बूकी रक्षा करनेवाले सैनिक तम्बुओंको छोड़कर यथाशक्ति भागने लगे। वे सब-के-सब अपनी सुध-बुध खो बैठे थे और यह भी नहीं जानते थे कि “उन्हें किस दिशामें भागकर जाना है”
prādravanta yathāśakti kāndiśīkā vicetasaḥ |
サンジャヤは言った。「惑乱した者たちは、力の限り逃げ散った。門を守る者も、入口や天幕を護るべく配された兵も、持ち場を捨てて走った。皆が正気を失い、『どの方角へ逃げるべきか』さえ分からなかった――恐怖の前に務めが崩れ落ちる、狼狽の光景である。」
