Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
कर्णिनालीकरदंष्टस्य खड्गजिह्डस्य संयुगे । चापव्यात्तस्य रौद्रस्य ज्यातलस्वननादिन:
karṇinālīkaradaṁṣṭasya khaḍgajihvasya saṁyuge | cāpavyāttasya raudrasya jyātalasvananādinaḥ ||
スータは語った。「戦場において彼は、怒りに燃える人間の中の恐るべき獅子であった。『カルニン』『ナーリーカ』の矢はその牙、合戦に掲げられた剣はその舌。弓を引き絞るさまは大口を開くがごとく、弦の鳴りは咆哮に等しい。戦に背を見せぬその凄絶な“人獅子”の手から生きて逃れた者たち——それがまさにこの我が縁者であり、今は不覚ゆえに討たれたのだ。」
