सम्यगाह गुरु: क्षत्तरुपावर्तय पाण्डवान् | यदि ते न निवर्तन्ते सत्कृता यान्तु पाण्डवा: | सशस्त्ररथपादाता भोगवन्तश्न पुत्रका:,“विदुर! गुरु द्रोणाचार्यने ठीक कहा है। तुम पाण्डवोंको लौटा लाओ। यदि वे न लौटें तो वे अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंसे युक्त रथियों और पैदल सेनाओंसे सुरक्षित और भोग-सामग्रीसे सम्पन्न हो सत्कारपूर्वक वनमें भ्रमणके लिये जाया; क्योंकि वे भी मेरे पुत्र ही हैं'
samyag āha guruḥ kṣattāḥ upāvartaya pāṇḍavān | yadi te na nivartante satkṛtā yāntu pāṇḍavāḥ | saśastra-ratha-pādātā bhogavantaś ca putrakāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「師は正しく語られた。おおヴィドゥラ（クシャットリ）、パーンダヴァらを連れ戻せ。もし戻らぬなら、パーンダヴァらをしかるべき敬意をもって旅立たせよ――武装した車兵と歩兵に護らせ、享用の資も備えさせよ。彼らもまた我が子なのだから。」
