स्मरन्ति सुकृतान्येव न वैराणि कृतान्यपि । सन्त: परार्थ कुर्वाणा नावेक्षन्ते प्रतिक्रियाम्‌

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | smaranti sukṛtāny eva na vairāṇi kṛtāny api | santaḥ parārthaṃ kurvāṇā nāvekṣante pratikriyām ||

Translation

ユディシュティラは言った。「善き人は他者の功徳のみを憶え、たとえ受けた怨みであっても心に留めない。人の安寧のために行う高貴な者は、報復も同等の返礼も求めぬ。」
