यथावय: समेयाना उपविष्टा यथार्हतः । आसजनेषु विचित्रेषु स्पर्थ्यास्तरणवत्सु च

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: yathāvayaḥ sameyānā upaviṣṭā yathārhataḥ | āsajaneṣu vicitreṣu spardhyāstaraṇavatsu ca ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「一同が揃うと、彼らは年齢と位階にふさわしく着座した。座は多様にして壮麗、見事な敷物と覆いで飾られていた。この光景は宮廷のダルマを示す—長老と高位の者を、秩序と礼節、そしてもてなしによって敬うのである。」
