Bhīṣma–Śiśupāla-saṃvādaḥ
Bhishma and Shishupala’s exchange in the assembly
असोौ मतिमतां श्रेष्ठी य एब जगत: प्रभु: । सम्भावयति चाप्येवं त्वद्वाक्याच्च जनार्दन: । एवमेतत् सर्वमिति तत् सर्व वितथं ध्रुवम्
asau matimatāṁ śreṣṭhī ya eba jagataḥ prabhuḥ | sambhāvayati cāpy evaṁ tvadvākyāc ca janārdanaḥ | evam etat sarvam iti tat sarvaṁ vitathaṁ dhruvam |
シシュパーラは言った。「お前は言う、『彼は賢者の中の第一、全世界の主である』と。しかもお前がそう言うがゆえに、ジャナールダナ（クリシュナ）自身もそのように受け入れ始めた。彼はそれらの断言をことごとく真実として受け取っている。だが私の目には、クリシュナについてお前が語ったことは、すべて確かに虚偽である。」
