Jarāsandha-vadha-upadeśa and the Departure toward Magadha (जरासन्धवधोपदेशः मागधप्रस्थानं च)
śrīkṛṣṇa uvāca evam uktvā tu sā rājan tatraivāntaradhīyata | sa saṅgṛhya kumāraṃ taṃ praviveśa gṛhaṃ nṛpaḥ ||
The verse highlights royal duty and ethical guardianship: a king is expected to protect and take responsibility for the vulnerable (here, a child), acting decisively once danger or uncertainty has passed.
After speaking, the rākṣasī vanishes on the spot. The king then takes the boy with him and goes into his palace, indicating the child’s acceptance into protection and care.
