इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत सभापवके अन्तर्गत लोकपालसभाख्यानपर्वमें पाण्डु-संदेश- कथनविषयक बारहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,वार्धुषी यज्ञसत्त्वानि गोरक्ष॑ कर्षणं वणिक्
iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate sabhāparvaṇi antargate lokapālasabhākhyānaparvaṇi pāṇḍu-sandeśa-kathanaviṣayakaḥ dvādaśo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ | vārdhuṣī yajñasattvāni gorakṣaṃ karṣaṇaṃ vaṇik |
かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』の『サバー・パルヴァ』において—とりわけ「世界護持者たちの集会譚」と呼ばれる章段のうち—パーンドゥの使信を語る第十二章は終わりを告げる。結びの語は、秩序ある世を支える柱を想起させる—富と貸借、祭祀の資具、牛の護持、農耕、そして交易。すなわち、ダルマにかなう統治は権力のみによらず、社会の経済と祭儀の基盤を倫理をもって守り立てることに拠るのだと示している。
