yauyudhāniṃ sarasvatyāṃ putraṃ sātyakinaḥ priyam nyaveśayat dharmātmā vṛddhabālapuraskṛtam
Even amid calamity and loss, dharma is upheld through proper conduct—especially in rites for the dead—by honoring social and familial responsibilities and giving due precedence to elders and the young.
The narrator reports that a righteous person arranges the laying to rest of Yauyudhāna, Sātyaki’s beloved son, at the Sarasvatī, conducting the act with due regard for customary order by placing elders and children foremost.
