Vasudeva–Arjuna Dialogue in the Aftermath of Dvārakā
नाहं वृष्णिप्रवीरेण बन्धुभिश्वैव मातुल । विहीनां पृथिवीं द्रष्ट शक्यामीह कथंचन,“मामाजी! वृष्णिवंशके प्रमुख वीर भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण तथा अपने भाइयोंसे हीन हुई यह पृथ्वी मुझसे अब किसी तरह देखी नहीं जा सकेगी
vaiśampāyana uvāca | nāhaṁ vṛṣṇipravīreṇa bandhūbhiś caiva mātula | vihīnāṁ pṛthivīṁ draṣṭuṁ śakyāmīha kathaṁcana ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「母方の叔父よ、ヴリシュニ族随一の英雄と、わが身の親族を失ったこの大地を、私はいかなる仕方でも見つめ耐えることができぬ。クリシュナとヤーダヴァの系譜が空しくなった世界は、私にとって法（ダルマ）の上でも心情の上でも、もはや堪え難いのだ。」
