Transliteration

tayor apanayāt pārtha vṛṣṇayo nidhanaṃ gatāḥ | yāv tau vṛṣṇipravīrāṇāṃ dvāv evātirathau matau ||

Translation

ヴァスデーヴァは言った。「パールタよ、あの二人にまつわる非行と自制の失われたことによって、ヴリシュニ族は滅亡へと至った。まさにその二人――サーティヤキとプラデュムナ――は、ヴリシュニの勇士の中でも最上と見なされ、偉大な戦車武者（アティラタ）に数えられていたが、全氏族が倒れる因となったのだ。」
