बेटा! पूर्वकालमें द्वैतववनके भीतर रहते समय भी एक बार मैंने तुम्हारी परीक्षा ली थी; जब कि तुम्हारे सभी भाई पानी लानेके लिये उद्योग करते हुए मारे गये थे ।।
bhīmārjunau parityajya yatra tvaṃ bhrātarāv ubhau | mātroḥ sāmyam abhīpsan vai nakulaṃ jīvam icchasi ||
ダルマラージャは言った。「以前、われらがドヴァイタヴァナの森に住んでいた折、私は汝を一度試した—汝の兄弟たちが皆、水を求めて励みながら倒れたその時である。そこで汝は、ビーマとアルジュナを措き、二人の母の間に公平を望んで、ナクラを生かすことを選んだ。」
