The Commencement of the Great Departure
श्वा चैवानुययावेक: प्रस्थितान् पाण्डवान् वनम् | क्रमेण ते ययुर्वीरा लौहित्यं सलिलार्णवम्
śvā caivānuyayāv ekaḥ prasthitān pāṇḍavān vanam | krameṇa te yayur vīrā lauhityaṃ salilārṇavam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。パーンダヴァたちが最後の旅として森へと出立すると、一匹の犬もまた彼らに従って行った。彼らは順に歩みを進め、ついにラウヒティヤの水辺—大海のごとく広がる水域—へと至った。それは捨離の道における、また一つの境であった。
