अस्त्रैरस्त्राणि संवार्य प्रनिघ्नन् सव्यसाचिन: । चक्रे चाप्यधिकं पार्थात् स्ववीर्यमतिदर्शयन्,कर्ण अपने अस्त्रोंद्वारा सव्यसाची अर्जुनके अस्त्रोंका निवारण करके उन सबको नष्ट कर दिया और अपने पराक्रमका प्रदर्शन करते हुए उसने अपने-आपको अर्जुनसे अधिक शक्तिशाली सिद्ध कर दिखाया
astrair astrāṇi saṃvārya prani-ghnan savyasācinaḥ | cakre cāpy adhikaṃ pārthāt sva-vīryam ati-darśayan ||
サンジャヤは語った。武器には武器をもって応じ、カルナはサヴィヤサーチン（アルジュナ）の放つ飛び道具を防ぎ、ことごとく撃ち落とした。己の武勇を余すところなく示しつつ、彼はパールタをさえ凌ぐかに見え、その力を戦場に顕した。
