अध्याय ९ — कर्णस्य प्रहारः, योधयुग्मनियोजनम्, शैनेय-कैकेययोर्युद्धविन्यासः
शेते विनिहतो वीरो देवेन्द्रेण इवाचल: । जैसे देवराज इन्द्रके द्वारा वज़से मारा गया पर्वत पृथ्वीपर पड़ा हो
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca |
śete vinihato vīro devendreṇa ivācalaḥ |
ドリタラーシュトラは言った。「あの勇士は討たれて横たわる。まるでインドラが山を打ち倒したかのように。かつて友に無畏を授けた大弓の使いカルナもまた、アルジュナの手により撃ち倒され、今は戦場に伏している。」
