तां तु सेनां तदा भीमो दर्शयन् पाणिलाघवम् | शरैरवचकर्तोंग्रै: प्रेषयिष्यन् यमक्षयम्
tāṁ tu senāṁ tadā bhīmo darśayan pāṇilāghavam | śarair avacchakar torṇagraiḥ preṣayiṣyan yamakṣayam ||
サンジャヤは言った。「そのときビーマは手さばきの迅速さを示し、剃刀のごとく鋭い恐るべき矢で汝の軍を切り裂き、ヤマの国へ送り込まんとした。」
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the harsh reality of kṣatriya-dharma in war: skill and determination, when yoked to battle, become forces that bring death. It implicitly warns that martial glory is inseparable from grave moral weight and the inevitability of mortality.
Sañjaya describes Bhīma’s battlefield onslaught: he demonstrates extraordinary speed and strength, cutting through the Kaurava forces with fierce, sharp arrows, as if dispatching them to Yama’s abode.
