सर्वमाह सुदुर्धर्षो वासुदेव: किरीटिने । ततो राजन् महाघोर: प्रादुरासीन्महारण:
sañjaya uvāca |
sarvam āha sudurdharṣo vāsudevaḥ kirīṭine |
tato rājan mahāghoraḥ prādurāsīn mahāraṇaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「不屈のヴァースデーヴァ（聖クリシュナ）は、冠を戴くアルジュナにすべてを語り尽くした。すると王よ、きわめて恐るべき大戦がその場に勃発した――忠告は退き、戦のただ中で、決意とダルマ（正しき義務）の苛烈な試練が始まったのである。」
