Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
श्रावयाणाक्ष बहवस्तत्र योद्धा विशाम्पते । अन्योन्यमवमृद्नन्त: शक्तितोमरपट्टिशै:
śrāvayāṇākṣa bahavas tatra yoddhā viśāmpate | anyonyam avamṛdnantaḥ śakti-tomara-paṭṭiśaiḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「おお、民の主よ。そこでは多くの戦士が耳をつんざく轟きを起こし、密着した白兵戦で互いに押し合い、槍・投槍（トーマラ）・戦斧で打ちかかった。」
