Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
अपरे प्राद्रवन् नागा: शल्यार्ता व्रणपीडिता: । प्रतिमानैश्व कुम्भैश्न पेतुरुव्या महाहवे
apare prādravan nāgāḥ śalyārtā vraṇapīḍitāḥ | pratimānaiś ca kumbhaiś ca petur urvyā mahāhave ||
サञ्जयは言った。「また別の象たちは、槍に苦しめられ、傷の痛みに苛まれて恐慌のうちに走り去った。だがその大合戦のさなか、ついには大地に崩れ落ち、巨体と、甕のように重い頭が落下の勢いのまま地を打った。」
