कर्णनिधनश्रवणम् — Hearing of Karṇa’s Fall and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament
पत्तीनां निहता: संघा हयानां प्रयुतानि च । रथव्रजाश्न निहता हताश्न वरवारणा:
pattīnāṁ nihatāḥ saṅghā hayānāṁ prayutāni ca | rathavrajaś ca nihatā hatāś ca varavāraṇāḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。歩兵の隊伍は丸ごと討たれ、馬もまた幾万と斃れた。戦車の軍勢は壊滅し、名高き戦象もまた死して横たわる——それは戦の容赦なき破滅の潮と、武の野望が払わせる重い人命の代価を刻みつける。
