युधिष्ठिरस्य धनंजय-प्रति गर्हा

Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya

आरोप्यारोप्य गच्छन्ति विमानेष्वप्सरोगणा: । वीरोंके द्वारा सम्मुख लड़कर मारे गये लाखों वीरोंको अप्सराएँ विमानोंपर बिठा- बिठाकर स्वर्गलोकमें ले जाती थीं

āropyāropyā gacchanti vimāneṣv apsarogaṇāḥ |

サンジャヤは語った。アプサラスの群れは、彼らを幾度も抱き上げ、天の車に乗せて天界へと運んでいった――勇猛なる正面の戦いで討たれた、数知れぬ戦士たちを。そこに映るのは、正しき戦における死が高き世界への渡りであるという観念であり、勇気を讃えつつも、戦が払わせる人の代価の甚大さをも刻みつけていた。
