tāv ubhau dharmarājasya pravīrau paripārśvataḥ | rathābhyāśe cakāśete candrasyeva punarvasū ||
Righteous leadership (Dharmarāja) is upheld not only by personal virtue but also by loyal protectors who stand close in times of crisis; the astral simile highlights harmony, steadiness, and auspicious support around dharma amid war.
Sañjaya describes two leading warriors positioned on either side of Yudhiṣṭhira’s chariot, shining conspicuously near it, compared to the twin Punarvasu stars flanking the moon.
