Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the dharmic posture of a warrior: steadfastness, fearlessness, and purposeful action in battle. Arjuna is portrayed as ‘unconquered’ and advancing to strike, suggesting that righteous resolve—supported by auspicious symbols like Hanumān on his banner—strengthens moral courage in confronting adharma.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Arjuna, Kuntī’s son, is approaching to launch an attack. He identifies Arjuna by epithets (Bībhatsu, Aparājita) and by his distinctive standard bearing Hanumān, emphasizing Arjuna’s imminent offensive movement on the battlefield.
