कर्णभीमसमागमः | Karṇa–Bhīma Encounter
यथासुराश्च निहता इषुणैकेन भारत | शल्यने कहा--भारत! नरश्रेष्ठ! मैंने भी देवश्रेष्ठ ब्रह्मा और महादेवजीके इस अलौकिक एवं दिव्य उपाख्यानको दिद्दवानोंके मुखसे सुना है कि किस प्रकार प्रपितामह ब्रह्माजीने महादेवजीका सारथि-कर्म किया था और कैसे एक ही बाणसे समस्त असुर मारे गये ।।
yathāsurāś ca nihatā iṣuṇaikena bhārata | kṛṣṇasya cāpi viditaṃ sarvam etat purābhūt ||
シャリヤは言った。「おお、バーラタよ。かつて阿修羅どもがただ一本の矢によって討ち滅ぼされたように、この古き物語のすべては、すでに昔からクリシュナに知られている。私は賢者たちの口から、驚くべき神聖なる伝承を聞いた――祖父ブラフマーがいかにしてマハーデーヴァの御者となり、そしてただ一つの飛び道具によって阿修羅の軍勢がことごとく打ち倒されたか、ということを。」
