कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
राम: कृतस्वस्त्ययन: प्रययौ दानवान् प्रति । अब्रवीद् देवशत्रूंस्तान् महादर्पबलान्वितान्,उनकी यह बात सुनकर उसे सब प्रकारसे शिरोधार्य करके परशुराम स्वस्तिवाचन आदि मंगलकृत्य करनेके पश्चात् दानवोंका सामना करनेके लिये गये और महान् दर्प एवं बलसे सम्पन्न उन देवशत्रुओंसे इस प्रकार बोले--
rāmaḥ kṛtasvastyayanaḥ prayayau dānavān prati | abravīd devaśatrūṃs tān mahādarpabalānvitān |
ラーマ（パラシュラーマ）は、吉祥の儀と祝福の誦句をしかるべく修めると、ダーナヴァらに向かって進軍した。やがて彼は、大神の敵たる者ども—大いなる驕慢に膨れ、強大な力に支えられた者ども—に正面から語りかけた。あたかも、正法の秩序を守るために驕れる権勢を抑え込む者のごとく。
