ततःप्रभृति भद्रं ते गवां द्वैधीकृता: खुरा: । हयानां च सतना राजंस्तदाप्रभूति नाभवन्‌

Transliteration

tataḥprabhṛti bhadraṃ te gavāṃ dvaidhīkṛtāḥ khurāḥ | hayānāṃ ca satanā rājan tadāprabhūti nābhavan |

Translation

その時以来――汝に吉祥あれ――牛の蹄は二つに割れた蹄となり、王よ、馬もまたそれ以後、堅く一枚のままの蹄を持たなくなった。これは、ひとたびの出来事を越えて、行為と宇宙のありようが世界に永く痕跡を刻むことを語る。
