कर्णार्जुनयुद्ध-प्रवृत्तिः

Renewal of the Karṇa–Arjuna Engagement at Day’s End

अज्जोगतिभिरायम्य प्रयत्नाद्‌ धनुरुत्तमम्‌ । नाराचैरहनन्नागान्‌ नकुल: कुलनन्दन:

ajyogatibhir āyamya prayatnād dhanur uttamam | nārācair ahanan nāgān nakulaḥ kulanandanaḥ ||

サञ्जयは語った。素早く的確な身のこなしで、ナクーラ—一族の歓び—は力をこめて優れた弓を引き絞り、鋭い鉄の矢で象たちを射伏せた。この詩句は、戦のただ中における規律ある技と不屈の努力を示す。武威は怒りの奔流ではなく、制御された所作によって顕れるのである。
