कल्प्यतां नागमुख्यानां रथानां च वरूथिनाम् | संनहातां नराणां च वाजिनां च विशाम्पते
sañjaya uvāca | kalpyatāṃ nāgamukhyānāṃ rathānāṃ ca varūthinām | saṃnahātāṃ narāṇāṃ ca vājīnāṃ ca viśāmpate prajānātha |
サンジャヤは言った。「民の主よ、備えは進められていた。第一の戦象が整えられ、護りの覆いを備えた戦車が用意され、兵は鎧をまとい武具を整え、馬には具足が締められていく。軍勢の支度のどよめきと武者たちの呼び交わす声は、天に届くほど高く響き渡った。」
