Transliteration

gireḥ śikharajaḥ śrīmān suśākhaḥ supratiṣṭhitaḥ

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「彼は山頂に生まれた壮麗な大樹のようであった――威光に満ち、強き枝を幾重にも広げ、根は深く堅く据わっていた。」この譬えは、戦の騒乱のただ中にあっても揺るがぬ不動と高き威容、すなわち武人の確立した力と動じぬ存在を示している。
