Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 94: Sātyaki–Sudarśana Yuddha (सात्यकि–सुदर्शन युद्ध)
वर्जयन् निशितान् बाणान् द्रोणचापविनि:सृतान् । किरीटमाली कौन्तेयो भोजानीकं व्यशातयत्,द्रोणाचार्यके धनुषसे छूटे हुए तीखे बाणोंका निवारण करते हुए किरीटधारी कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनने कृतवर्माकी सेनाका संहार आरम्भ किया
varjayan niśitān bāṇān droṇacāpaviniḥsṛtān | kirīṭamālī kaunteyo bhojānīkaṁ vyaśātayat ||
サञ्जयは言った。「ドローナの弓より放たれる鋭い矢を退けつつ、冠を戴くクンティーの子アルジュナは、ボージャ軍を斬り崩し始め、クリタヴァルマンの軍勢滅亡の端緒を開いた。」
संजय उवाच
Even amid violent conflict, dharma expresses itself as disciplined action: one may defend oneself against a formidable elder/teacher without losing composure, and then act decisively where duty demands. The verse underscores restraint in defense and firmness in execution of one’s role.
Sañjaya describes Arjuna deflecting the sharp arrows shot by Droṇa. While maintaining defense against Droṇa’s attack, Arjuna turns his offensive force upon the Bhoja contingent—identified in context with Kṛtavarmā’s troops—beginning their rout and destruction.
