Sātyaki’s Assurance and the Protection of Dharmarāja (सात्यकिवचनम्—धर्मराजरक्षणविचारः)
taṁ niviṣṭaṁ śubhāṁ kakṣyām abhivandya agrataḥ sthitam | tam utthāya arjunaḥ premṇā sasvaje pāṇḍavarṣabhaḥ ||

The verse highlights dharmic conduct expressed through courtesy and reverence—saluting first, then acting from sincere affection. Even in a war narrative, ethical restraint and respect for relationships remain central.
Sañjaya describes Arjuna approaching a respected person seated in an auspicious chamber; Arjuna stands before him, offers a formal salutation, then rises and embraces him affectionately.
