जामदग्न्यो ह्ृतियशा मरिष्यति महाद्युति: । इस प्रकार भूगुकुलकी कीर्ति बढ़ानेवाले महायशस्वी, महातेजस्वी और सैकड़ों गुणोंसे सम्पन्न जमदग्निनन्दन परशुराम भी एक-न-एक दिन मरेंगे ही

Transliteration

jāmadagnyo hṛtiyaśā mariṣyati mahādyutiḥ |

Translation

ナーラダは言った。「栄誉に名高く、大いなる光輝に燃えるジャーマダグニヤ・パラシュラーマとて、いつの日か、遅かれ早かれ、必ず死ぬ。」戦記と英雄の名声のただ中で、この句は倫理の戒めを示す。名誉も血統も権勢も、誰一人として死を免れさせはしない。ゆえに驕りと地位への執着は、ついには空しい。
