Drona–Dhrishtadyumna Battle Description
सप्तद्वीपां वसुमतीं मारीचो<वगृह्नत द्विज: । राम॑ प्रोवाच निर्गच्छ वसुधातो ममाज्ञया,ब्रह्मर्षि कश्यपने जब सातों द्वीपोंसे युक्त यह पृथ्वी दानमें ले ली, तब उन्होंने परशुरामजीसे कहा--“अब तू मेरी आज्ञासे इस पृथ्वीसे निकल जाओ” (और कहीं अन्यत्र जाकर रहो)
saptadvīpāṃ vasumatīṃ mārīco ’vagṛhṇat dvijaḥ | rāmaṃ provāca nirgaccha vasudhāto mamājñayā ||
ナーラダは語った。「婆羅門マリーチャは、七つの大陸を具えた大地を施与として受け取り、これを領有した。ついで彼はラーマ（パラシュラーマ）に告げた。『我が命により、この地を去れ。』この逸話は、正しく授けられた布施の倫理的な力と、たとえ強大な者であっても正当な所有と合法の権威（ダルマ）を尊ぶべき義務を示している。」
