Droṇasya raudra-prayogaḥ
Droṇa’s intensified assault and the Pāṇḍava response
तावकानां मुखे कर्ण: परेषां च धनंजय: । ततो जयाभिसंरब्धौ परस्परवधैषिणौ
tāvakānāṃ mukhe karṇaḥ pareṣāṃ ca dhanaṃjayaḥ | tato jayābhisaṃrabdhau parasparavadhaiṣiṇau ||
サञ्जयは言った。カルナは汝の軍の先頭に立ち、ダナンジャヤ（アルジュナ）は敵軍の先頭に立っていた。やがて勝利への欲望に燃え、互いの死を求める二人は、正面から迫り合った。
