Droṇānīka-praveśa: Arjuna’s respectful appeal to Droṇa and renewed advance toward Jayadratha (द्रोणानीकप्रवेशः)
sa darśapaurṇamāsābhyāṃ kāleṣv āgrayaṇena ca | cāturmāsyaiś ca vividhair yajñaiś ca jñāvāptadakṣiṇaiḥ ||
The verse highlights dharma as disciplined, timely observance of prescribed duties—especially yajñas—together with rightful giving (dakṣiṇā). Ethical life is shown as alignment with sacred order (kāla, proper time) and responsibility toward the ritual community.
Nārada is describing a person’s exemplary conduct by listing the Vedic rites he regularly performed—Darśa-Paurṇamāsa, Āgrayaṇa, and Cāturmāsya—emphasizing that they were done at the correct times and completed with the proper sacrificial fees.
