Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 53: Arjuna’s Jayadratha-vadha Pratijñā and Droṇa’s Protective Vyūha
sarve hi sṛṣṭā naśyanti tava deva kathaṃcana | tasmān nivartatāṃ tejas tvayy evedaṃ pralīyatām, deva ||
Even when power is divine and overwhelming, it must be restrained by dharma: destructive energy should withdraw from indiscriminate annihilation and return to inner control, preserving cosmic balance and protecting beings.
Nārada addresses a deity-like figure and pleads that the fierce, world-destroying blaze of anger be checked, noting that created beings are already perishing; he urges the power to cease its outward devastation and dissolve back into the Lord.
