खड्गचर्म धर: श्रीमानुत्पपात विहायसा । धनुष कट जाने और रथ नष्ट हो जानेपर तेजस्वी वीर अभिमन्यु अपने धर्मका पालन करते हुए ढाल और तलवार हाथमें लेकर आकाशमें उछल पड़ा
khaḍgacarma-dharaḥ śrīmān utpapāta vihāyasā | dhanuṣaḥ kaṭa-jāne ca ratha-naṣṭe ca tejasvī vīro 'bhimanyuḥ sva-dharmam anutiṣṭhan carma-khaḍgau pāṇibhyāṃ gṛhītvā vihāyasam utpapāta |
サञ्जयは語った。弓を断たれ、戦車を破られたとき、光り輝く勇士アビマンニュは—自らのダルマの遵守に揺るぎなく—盾と剣を取り、天へと跳び上がって、決して折れぬ意志で戦いを続けた。
