ते प्रेषिता: सुमित्रेण द्रोणानीकाय वाजिन:

te preṣitāḥ sumitreṇa droṇānīkāya vājinaḥ

サンジャヤは言った。スミトラに遣わされた騎兵は、ドローナの戦列へと進み出た。この一句は、戦において将が迅速な兵を指し向け、狙い定めた陣形を衝くさまを示す——味方への務めでありながら、争い全体の暴力が道義の影を落とすのである。
