ट्रमाणां शिखराणीव दावदग्धानि मारिष | अश्वव्‌न्दान्यदृश्यन्त रथवृन्दानि भारत

Transliteration

drumāṇāṃ śikharāṇīva dāvadagdhāni māriṣa | aśvavṛndāny adṛśyanta rathavṛndāni bhārata ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「高貴なる者よ、バーラタよ、戦車の群れと馬の群れは、まるで山の峰に立つ樹々が山火事に焼かれたかのように見えた――黒く煤け、折れ砕け、かつての輝きを剥ぎ取られていた。」
