tathaiva drauṇinir-muktir bhīmaḥ saṃnata-parvabhiḥ

Educational Q&A

Even in war, outcomes are not determined by sheer aggression alone; force can be checked, and survival may come through restraint, counteraction, and the larger moral and fated currents that govern the battlefield.

Sañjaya reports that Bhīma is likewise delivered from danger, with the attack or weapon released by Drauṇi (Aśvatthāman) being brought under control—its momentum effectively bent down or subdued.
