क्षत्रियाणामभावाय दृष्ट्वा द्रोणमवस्थितम् | ऋषयो< भ्यागतास्तूर्ण हव्यवाहपुरोगमा:,इस प्रकार द्रोणाचार्यको क्षत्रियोंका विनाश करनेके लिये उद्यत देख तुरंत ही अग्निदेवको आगे करके बहुत-से महर्षि वहाँ आये
kṣatriyāṇām abhāvāya dṛṣṭvā droṇam avasthitam | ṛṣayo 'bhyāgatās tūrṇaṃ havyavāha-purogamāḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。ドローナがクシャトリヤの滅亡をもたらさんと立ち構えているのを見て、多くの大聖仙たちが、火神アグニを先頭に、ただちにその場へ急ぎ来た。
संजय उवाच
Even in a righteous war, intent matters: a shift from duty-bound combat to wholesale annihilation invites moral and cosmic concern. The arrival of sages led by Agni signals that dharma includes restraint and accountability, and that extreme violence can provoke intervention by higher moral authorities.
Sañjaya reports that Droṇa is seen poised to cause the ruin of the Kṣatriyas. Alarmed by this prospect, many ṛṣis quickly come to the scene with Agni at their head, implying an attempt to counsel, check, or redirect Droṇa’s course.
