Even amid violent conflict, actions aligned with one’s ordained duty (kṣatriya-dharma) and exceptional skill can draw recognition that transcends ordinary human judgment; the repeated, unseen praise underscores that moral and heroic evaluation is not limited to the visible participants on the field.
Sanjaya reports to the king that, on the battlefield, repeated words lauding Drona and Arjuna are being heard as if spoken by invisible beings—suggesting a supernatural or cosmic audience observing and commenting on the unfolding combat.
