तस्यापतत एवाशु भल्‍्लेनामित्रकर्शन: । माद्रीपुत्र: शिरो यन्तु: सशिरस्त्राणमच्छिनत्‌,उसके आते ही शत्रुसूदन माद्रीकुमार सहदेवने शीघ्र ही एक भल्ल मारकर दुःशासनके सारथिका मस्तक शिरस्त्राणसहित काट डाला

tasyāpatata evāśu bhallenāmitrakarśanaḥ | mādrīputraḥ śiro yantuḥ saśirastrāṇam acchinat ||

サンジャヤは言った。「突進して来るや否や、敵を屈するマードリーの子サハデーヴァは、ただちに“バッラ”の矢を放ち、御者の首を兜ごと斬り落とした。この光景は戦の容赦なき奔流を示す。技と決断は一瞬の間もなく振るわれるが、暴力の道義的重みは、あらゆる決定打の上に影のように垂れこめている。」
