tato virāṭa-drupadau droṇaṃ prayayatu raṇe

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。すると戦のただ中で、ヴィラータとドルパダはドローナに向かって進み出た。盟約とクシャトリヤのダルマ（武人の義務）に縛られた老練の王たちが、敬われる師に戦場で相対する—忠誠と責務、そして戦の悲劇的な代償が交差する場面である。
