サञ्जयは語った。ついでその大合戦には、雷霆の落つるがごとき轟音が起こり、稲妻と雷鳴が相伴った。さらに激戦のただ中で、凄まじい「チャット・チャット(caṭ-caṭ)」という裂ける音が響いた。
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya describes the battlefield as filled with thunderbolt-like crashes, lightning and thunder, and loud crackling sounds—either as ominous natural signs or as similes for the escalating din of weapons and destruction in the great fight.
