mahatyā senayā yukto duryodhanam upāgamat | rākṣasānāṁ virūpāṇāṁ sahasraiḥ parivāritaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。彼は大軍を従え、醜怪で歪んだ姿の羅刹たち数千に取り巻かれながら、ドゥルヨーダナのもとへ近づいた。この光景は、戦がますます恐るべき、そして制し難い勢力を呼び寄せ、争いの危険と道義の闇をいよいよ深めてゆくことを示している。
