Shloka 93

तोरणप्रतिमं शुभ्र॑ किरीटं मूर्थ्यशोभत । वह अपनी छातीपर सुवर्णमय निष्क (पदक) पहनकर अग्निकी माला धारण किये पर्वतके समान प्रतीत होता था। उसके मस्तकपर सोनेका बना हुआ विचित्र उज्ज्वल मुकुट तोरणके समान सुशोभित हो रहा था। उस मुकुटकी विविध अंगोंसे बड़ी शोभा हो रही थी,तल॑ तलेन संहत्य संदश्य दशनच्छदम्‌ । रथमास्थाय च पुनर्मायया निर्मितं तदा उसने उस समय हाथसे हाथ मलकर, दाँतोंसे ओठ चबाकर, पुनः हाथी-जैसे बलवान्‌ एवं पिशाचोंके-से मुखवाले प्रखर गधोंसे जुते हुए मायानिर्मित रथपर बैठकर अपने सारथिसे कहा--“तुम मुझे सूतपुत्र कर्णके पास ले चलो”

sañjaya uvāca | toraṇapratimaṃ śubhraṃ kirīṭaṃ mūrdhny aśobhata | talatalena saṃhatya saṃdaśya daśanacchadam | ratham āsthāya ca punar māyayā nirmitaṃ tadā |

サञ्जयは言った。彼の頭上には、儀礼の門トーラナにも似た、白く輝く壮麗な冠が映えていた。ついで彼は両掌を擦り合わせ、歯で唇を噛みしめて緊迫した決意を示し、幻力によって造られた戦車に再び乗り込んだ。そして御者に命じた。「御者の子カルナのもとへ、我を連れて行け。」
